You would have to really really nerf Batman to make him fit in that world and for that Joker to pose any sort of threat.

It wouldn't fundamentally work.

The Joker of this world would pose VERY LITTLE THREAT to Batman. For this to work, you would need to create a VERY stripped down Batman so this unimposing Joker would be a threat.

@BlackBeltJones - its going to be 15 years before this bruce can even be an adult and fight the joker. Thats plenty of time for this joker to get really good at killing and to build a gang.

@Origame - where he is now, who he is now intrinsically, I don’t see him evolving into classic joker; or it’s hard for me to see that occurring. But ya never know.

I doubt they ever do a Batman flick in this universe though.

@BlackBeltJones - itll be at least 15 years. You're never the same person in that time. I agree they probably wont do a full batman movie here, as its more limiting for characters than nolanverse, but this really isnt one of them.

I kinda wish The Joker ended with Bruce being the one that got killed meaning Thomas would become Batman and Martha somehow becomes the new Joker. But I can’t see that Thomas or Martha taking lead.

I know how that movie has to end. Batman has to go visit the man who murdered his parents. Not to "Joe Chill", but to the clown who provoked everything and he has to say to Joker "I am not afraid". In the end, Batman will find a sick man with lung problems.

No it isn't Todd. It NYC. We already had a Batman set in a real world location. I think the Nolan films were set in Chicago as Gotham.

Let's bring back some of that Art Deco Gotham and creative sets. Especially now that we live in the 20's.

I'm always down to see a new interpretation of Batman but until I die, I'll just keep wishing for an HBO series instead of more movies and reboots.

I’d do a Don Quixote type of Bruce Wayne/Batman. No Batmobile, no bar gadgets, not even a high tech bat suit.

Just a crazy guy in his early 20s driving around Gotham in a hand stitched costume failing miserably to fight crime and Alfred having to track him down and save him from Paparazzi and Arkham Asylum.
