In a lengthy video interview with Collider alongside his The World's End costar Nick Frost, Pegg is asked for his opinion (as everyone seems to be) on Ben Affleck Playing Batman. He also comments on that "f*ck you" to fans who voted STID the worst Trek movie yet..

"I can totally see why people are upset about the tall, handsome, lantern jawed, talented, dark haired actor playing Bruce Wayne I mean woah, what a weird choice". It's safe to say Pegg is good with Affleck playing Bats, though he also admits that it is a "strange choice at this point in his career" He also takes to time to address his comments to fans who voted Star Trek Into Darkness as the worst Star Trek flick of all time. Apparently he was "doorstepped" very early in the morning when he was told about the poll, and didn't really mean it to come across as it did.

Update: The interview Pegg refers to, was conducted by Mike Ryan of The Huffington Post, who informed us the "doorstepped" excuse isn't accurate.

Star Trek into Darkness the worst Star Trek film lol. Have Star Trek fans even watched Insurrection or even Star Trek 3 the search for Spock?

ST:ID one of the best Star Trek films ever.

Its like RDJr's Sherlock Holmes in that I can watch.it over and over again and not get tired of it.

Good for him, voicing himself against the animosity of the fans...Seriously... Actors get way too scared of saying how they feel when casting decisions are made or movies turn out bad. Who do they really have to impress besides the general movie going audience...?

Hello,

I want to say that Star Trek: Into The Darkness was truly an amazing movie. I can't wait for the third one. The cast is fantastic and the special effects were very effective. The box office was a smash hit which make me proud. Keep up the good work, guys.

STID was awesome, I just wish they would have had Kirk repair the relationship with Khan. Kirk's biggest regret was always stranding Khan and his people thus becoming enemies. I thought they had a chance to fix that and they kind of did but I wished they would have averted them being enemies given the altered timeline.

I sometimes wonder if these star trek fans that hated the movie are an underground hidden civilization that only come out during conventions to vote the movie "off the island." Everyone I've ever talked about the movie loved it. The first time I heard the it was hated was on cbm.com.

My top 3 movies this year (in order): MOS, Flashpoint Paradox, and Start Trek: Into Darkness.
