Wasn't Bucky wrapped in red and blue or something hinting at Captain America? Didn't stay for the credits so not sure if this true.

I loved the movie...

but...

The most advanced nation on Earth doesn't have voting or elections? Whoever beats up the king gets to be king? That's insane.

@Indoorsman - it's called 'tradition'

@Indoorsman - That's a good point and is something that doesn't make sense out of context. As a culture evolves and grows primitive beliefs and codes become less apparent. However, you could argue that because of the Vibranium they evolved so quickly as a society that the primal beliefs and customs survived. Also you have to take into account that they basically have evidence their spirits and things exists due to the herb and as such the beliefs and traditions stick.

You could argue it's just a fantasy movie but the fact it includes so many references to real world struggles and issues does make this issue far more prominent in the movie.

@BeyondtheFuture - Good points. I didn't really mind. Superheroes solve their problems by punching. That's tradition too :)

@Indoorsman - It bothered me slightly until I thought about it but to be honest as soon as Michael B Jordan delivered his 'Is this your king' speech in the dual at the waterfall I'd forgiven the films little flaws like this. That scene was just so good.

@Indoorsman - It wasn’t quite “whoever beats up the king”... Killmonger had an honest claim to the throne by being part of the royal family. And, and least when T’Challa was crowned, all of the tribes had a chance to object and challenge. (I wondered if they actually got the chance to do so with Killmonger.)

But yeah... a monarchy does suck. The reason most of the world does away with them is because of what happens in the movie: things can go to hell quickly with one bad king.

@Indoorsman - Well apparently the Wakandans were up for having a go at the whole elected head of state thing until...........

@Indoorsman - @Indoorsman - When I was a kid reading BP comics, the idea of anybody competing used to bother me too. I complement the movie on improving this point from the comics: They explained that the challengers must have a claim to the RIGHT to fight for the throne. Either you as a leader of one of the 5 tribes (as was M'Baku) or be within the current royal lineage (as was cousin Killmonger).

In any case, Wakandans prefer combat rituals over relying on citizens whose only source of news is from misinformation Bots on social media.

@Indoorsman - I agree, that bothered me too. Even more so that the challenger had to be of 'royal blood'. A government/rulership of a country should not be hereditary anymore; we wouldn't have hereditary sports teams! A democratic meritocracy is the norm in modern society, but they didn't delve into the opinions of the general populous, not the time.
Also, build a wall, don't allow in any foreigners, ban any foreign aid, build up an arsenal that could obliterate the world, then mock the rest of the world for being lesser. Isn't that the U.S. current foreign policy?!?!

I wish Zemo would have partially succeeded in shooting himself in the head, giving him an actual need for the mask. He's going to need something to happen to him to want to cover his face.

Yeah, this movie was amazing. Killmonger was such a great villain and I'm wondering how, if even possible, they could get an even better villain in the sequel? Any ideas?

@noahthegrand - W'Kabi. I think they're setting him up for a future villain. Also it's played by Daniel Kaluuya which is beyond fantastic

@noahthegrand - He was awesome -shouldn't have killed him off - but the next one needs a little more screen time.
