A new video from the set of The Fantastic Four: First Steps shows a group of extras reacting to the arrival and departure of the Fantasticar. We also have what some believe is a major surprise cameo...

Following yesterday's new photos from the set of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, we finally have the video to go with it.

As well as showcasing the Baxter Building's now-completed Excelsior Launch Pad (blue logo and all), we see a group of extras reacting to the takeoff and landing of a vehicle likely to be added down the line with VFX.

After watching this footage, it's also clear that isn't Reed Richards and Sue Storm watching from afar despite what we were told yesterday. When it comes to the aforementioned vehicle, with these people standing on the Excelsior Launch Pad, it's almost certainly the Fantasticar.

The cast has reportedly been spotted in costume but aside from a leak showcasing The Thing, those images have yet to surface. With filming taking place at Pinewood Studios rather than out in the world, it seems photographers are limited with what they can share.

"I can tell you how excited I am, which is beyond!" Reed Richards actor Pedro Pascal said earlier this year. "There isn’t anything more exciting than being in a cast like that, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joe Quinn and our director Matt Shakman."

The Mandalorian star added, "To be invited to a family like that is unbelievable, and we all just want to do our best and share it with the world."

Watch the latest The Fantastic Four: First Steps set video below.

We also have a second video that asks whether Frankie Raye, a.k.a. Nova, has been spotted on the set of The Fantastic Four: First Steps

It's quite clearly just a background extra wearing a yellow hat so there's reaches and then there's...this! Still, you can check out the footage below and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Marvel Studios has announced that Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing) will lead The Fantastic Four: First Steps cast.

We'll also see Ralph Ineson as Galactus, Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer, and Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne in mystery roles. The story sees Galactus and Silver Surfer target Earth for destruction.

Director Matt Shakman worked with both Avatar: The Way of Water co-writer Josh Friedman and WandaVision's Cam Squires on The Fantastic Four: First Steps' screenplay, with Eric Pearson (Black Widow) later coming on board for a final polish.

The movie is set to be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.

Cool though I’m confused , I feel like we can barely make out those people that some thought were Pedro & Vanessa so it could still be them?.

Anyway digging the retro fashion from what I can see , can’t wait to see this world that Shakman & the crew aswell as Marvel create!!.

Shakman especially mentioning how he was inspired by Syd Mead’s art has me intrigued…

Thumbnail is missing the classic moustache as designed by Jack Kirby.

@Batmangina - Due to his own inflated sense of personal machismo; the great Cesar Romero refused to shave his 'stache to portray the Joker but, at least HE had the advantage of grease-paint to camouflage his facial hair. I guess Pedro was the last remaining semi "big name" that was still willing to play the role and Disney/MARVEL had to bite the bullet and allow him to keep the 'stache. 🤨

@SuperiorHeckler - I'd pay cash money for them to put flesh colored makeup over Pedro's 'stache.

Cesar Romero had so much machismo, his moustache negotiated his contract and beat the [frick] out of the entire makeup department before offering to submit to greasepaint in order to put an end to the violence.

@Batmangina - If somewhere on the web there was a virtual Mount Rushmore of posts for all future generations to read, enjoy and laugh along to, I would submit your response. You Sir have set the bar high! 🤓

@Batmangina - They're going to remove it digitally. They're confident that the technology has come a long way since Justice League.

@Patient2670 - If Pedro would shave and they then hire Henry Cavill's moustache, it would have my unwavering support.

@SuperiorHeckler @Batmangina - FWIW, I remember hearing several years ago that someone had offered the guys from ZZ Top $10 mil to shave off their beards and basically told them where they could shove that $10 mil.

@StSteven - For $10M, I'll personally shave Billy and Dusty and shove their beards up MY ass.

I just can't buy Pedro as Reed. I honestly could believably see him as an Iron Man variant, but between his age, his work, and just the overall impression I get from him, every time I almost convince myself he might be alright something sticks out and makes me realize that he's just not the right guy. The leaked footage hurt the impression way more than it helped. I'm still terrified that in the finished product he's going to be quippy and charming in the vein of Iron Man and less the fatherly work-a-holic Reed is known to be.

@BobGarlen - I agree. And bodies absolutely nothing from that thumbnail picture or any version of Reed I’ve seen my whole life.

The problem i have is this:

I can't imagine a movie that takes place in an alternate retro-futuristic 60s setting to be a blockbuster.

It looks like at least half of the movie takes place in that alternate universe.

People don't eat up MCU movies anymore, so this may not break $500 million worldwide.

The only exception is if only half of this takes place in 1963 and the F4 & friends go to 616 afterwards.
