Cue people complaining about reshoots, saying they are ruining the movie, despite every major film having reshoots

I'm mildly interested in seeing if they can pull this huge story off on screen. While the Lynch movie from the 80's certainly is a failure, it's an INTERESTINGLY weird failure imo.

Also, here's a totally unrelated meme:

@Feralwookiee

Been tempted to watch Lynch’s Dune but I kind of just want to hold off for Denis’ movie.

Go in totally blind 😎

@Feralwookiee - Wonder how they will do the sequels. from what ive heard they get VERY weird, like Twin Peaks The Return level weird

@regularmovieguy - It's got a bad rap, which is mostly deserved, but there's still things I respected about it. It is such a dense book to adapt that it simply CAN NOT be stuffed into ONE 2 hour movie.

@dracula - So far, the plan is to make a two-part adaptation of the first book. No word if they're going to touch the sequels.

Dune, Tenet, and No Time to Die are my three most anticipated films of 2020. Hopefully we get to see them this year.

I'm going through the book now in anticipation for this. It's a good book, but damn does it really hammer in the detail and minutiae. It's very interesting though, and should absolutely get the Lord of the Rings treatment
