The first episode of Moon Knight premiered on Disney+ last Wednesday, and ahead of tomorrow's second chapter, Marvel Studios has released a spoilery clip from "The Goldfish Problem."

In the scene, we see Marc Spector convince Steven Grant to give him control of their body so he can fight the monster unleashed by Arthur Harrow. Moments later, Moon Knight finally makes his presence felt, and as you no doubt already know, it was at this point the credits started rolling.

The hero looks great in action, though it does appear the suit has been brought to life with VFX.

In other news, data shared by Samba TV suggests 1.8 million households tuned into that first episode of Moon Knight in the U.S. during its first five days on Disney+. The company collects data from 3 million households in order to offer an idea of viewership numbers, but these are by no means official. However, what we do know is that 1.8 million viewers means this series ties with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier for the second-highest MCU debut on the streaming service.

Loki remains at #1 with 2.5 million viewers, but this is still a great result for Moon Knight considering he's a "C-List" character in the eyes of many fans, and puts the show ahead of both WandaVision (1.6 million viewers) and Hawkeye (1.5 million viewers).

Take a look at that clip from the Moon Knight premiere below:

That beatdown was so satisfying. Love how the perspective changed from us fearing the beast, to the beast fearing Marc. Made me realize I've been itching for a monster hunter character in the MCU.

@Kumkani - THAT part made me say yup this dude’s a beast

That first episode was legit. Seriously the best first episode of any Marvel D+ show. Oscar Isaac is really outstanding. Seriously hyped for the rest of the series.

@DarthOmega - it’s my favorite show as far as this episode goes, and I hope they can keep it up and it’s a great show every episode.

I really enjoyed this episode. I don’t really know anything about the character other than his Wikipedia intro so it’s nice to go in pretty blind after 14 years of having a pretty good grasp on where stories and characters would go. My only gripe (and it doesn’t really take away from the show much) is that that cliff driving scene, while cool, had some of the most YouTube level CGI I’ve ever seen. I know it’s a streaming show so I give it a bit if a pass but comparing that to say the effects of Loki or even WandaVision there seems to be a significant drop in budget with this show compared to the others.

I wonder if anyone at the museum will casually mention something about the 900 trillion ton, petrified, murdered space god that's jutting out of the earth. I would.

Aside from some of the garbage CGI during the car chase, that first episode was awesome. Absolutely loved it.

@ymk700 - Totally agree. That shows the importance of having a damn good actor. Because that compositing was laughably bad tbh. I don't want to hear that budget stuff. I have seen better blending with much smaller projects. Still didn't take away from the overall product of course. Can't wait to watch ep2

@DarthOmega - If Marvel Studios is willing to go back and re-edit and fix scenes post release like they've done on other projects, I'm hoping they go back and clean up some of the CGI on this show.

Even with the action unseen, i've found the first Episode very rewatchable. Isaac is class in Episode 1, must have seen it about 4 times

@JakeyChappers - twice but probably will again followed by ep 2

Loved episode 1 for the characters and story. I'm less sold on the cgi and Marc's voice when speaking to Steven (just feels over-produced, kind of like a Disneyworld theme park ride's narration). Still, I really enjoyed it.

Also, was that Latveria??? I didn't think so, but I've been reading speculation.

I enjoyed the first episode 1 of Moon Knight. I loved Khnoshu's voice in the first episode.

I need moooore! This first episode was good and did a great job of hooking me. My wife who's a occasional CBM watcher was enthralled with the show. It's the first MCU show we've both really enjoyed together!
