That’s pretty sweet!!.

It does make me wonder if we’ll get characters from the shows in X-Men 97 & Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man in SW too in their original forms or will they be translated into live action (if we do get them at all?).

I could either way, maybe moreso the latter because having the animated characters interacting with the live action ones would be expensive.

@TheVisionary25 - I'm guessing not at all. The only characters I can see make the jump from animation are Captain Carter and Kahhori

@bkmeijer1 - yeah and likely in live action with Hayley Atwel and Devery Jacobs playing them

@TheVisionary25 - didn't Jacobs already star in Echo? Not that it matters if RDJ is returning as another character either though.

The dumbest thing is that according to Feige - this ISN'T Earth 616

@Nightwing1015 - Earth 616 should never appear in movies anyway.

This would have been so cool. Can't we just have a Deadpool & Wolverine 2 before we have to get serious again with the Russos Bros movies? All of this would have been so much fun. Y'know, maybe they could shoot some new stuff for a Once Upon a Deadpool & Wolverine.

bkmeijer1 - 8/22/2024, 5:28 PM
@ObserverIO - that would be fun. Think they might even have enough extra footage to completely recontextualize the movie already

@ObserverIO @bkmeijer1 - I'm hoping that they do a "Once Upon a Deadpool & Wolverine" PG-13 version for the holidays that I could take my kids to see (I'm finally going to see the current version in theaters this weekend... alone), but they would REALLY need to edit the current version down to where I'd be cool with my little girls watching it. Plus, they can't really do a "Princess Bride" take off again (or can they?), so in the past I had suggested that for this "Once Upon..." they do a take off of the "Never Ending Story" with DP tracking down the OG cast and kidnapping them forcing them to be part o a retelling of "DP&W" that is PG-13.

From what I understand, while the actors who played Atreyu and the Princess still do the conventions, the guy who played Bastian is like a blacksmithing teacher living in a cabin in the woods (a joke there for sure), so it would be pretty funny if DP kidnapped the other two and dragged them (along with Logan, begrudgingly) out to the cabin in the woods and retold the movie there. That could also allow for some comedy as Wade and Logan taking turns telling their own versions of what happened when they differ.

Anyhow, if they did something like that (which, given the success of "DP&W" they're probably already working on), that could be a unique enough idea to get older folks back into theaters to see the movie yet one more time and still make it accessible to kids.

@StSteven - something like that could indeed work. And since it's the only MCU movie this year, I think they can get away with it as well
StSteven
StSteven - 8/23/2024, 6:21 PM
@bkmeijer1 - I mean, it doesn't have to be like I'm suggesting it (most kids these days probably don't know what "The Never Ending Story" is - but then again, how many of them know what "The Princess Bride" is?), but I think that something along those lines would do well. Or they could go all Holiday-themed with it and have Will Farrell back as Buddy from "Elf". That could be funny as hell. Imagine DP, cranky-ass Logan, and Buddy the Elf. Actually I might like that idea better than my first one. They could have Zooey back as well and make it a sort-of sequel to "Elf" where Buddy is telling their kids the story of "DP&W".

I mean, Favreau did direct "Elf", and it's beloved (and very popular movie with pretty much everyone), so there you go. Not sure about the movie rights and all that, but food for thought...

@StSteven - there's so many ideas they could try. Could also see them do Home Alone or something like that
StSteven
StSteven - 8/24/2024, 2:43 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Yeah that's another Christmas classic, although I don't know if Macualay is even acting anymore these days or what his deal is, but DP and Wolvie as the Wet Bandits has a lot of comedic potential.

@StSteven - I was thinking it's Deadpool's house that gets invaded, but I bet they can get Macaulay to return
StSteven
StSteven - 8/24/2024, 3:33 PM
@bkmeijer1 - How about in a weird twist of fate it's DP & W's house which gets invaded by... Macauley and Kieran as the new Wet Bandits. DP & W take them hostage and proceed to recount the story of "DP & W". Mind. Blown.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 8/24/2024, 5:39 PM
@StSteven - yeah, that works. But only with them as themselves though
StSteven
StSteven - 8/24/2024, 6:31 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Oh, yeah, totally. Like their careers had gotten so bad that they've resorted to a life of crime (which is kinda on the nose for Macaulay but ironic with Kieran).
